We would like to share with you our favourite grape varieties. Maybe you can take inspiration from them for the end of year celebrations. We would also like to take this opportunity to update you with the latest news in the video below.
A wonderful year comes to an end and we are already preparing for the next one!
Indeed, last year was magical for us. Filled with beautiful moments in the company of our winemakers, and also with you; this is what it is all about, sharing our passion with you. It’s the beauty of starting-up and entrepreneurship!
Our favourite grape varieties
Not only do we meet wonderful people, but we also get the chance to sample good wines all year long! This is one of the many advantages of this job. Throughout the year, we have had soft-spots for different grape varieties at different times.
We’d now like to present them to you and we hope they will allow you to gather around for a drink and make it a memorable moment, one that will stick in your memory.
Because finally, as many winegrowers told us this year, what is important is not the wine, nor how it is drunk, it is whom we drink it with!
Valérie’s favourite grape varieties
“I like its peppery side, its colour, its strength. In fact, I really like its character. I like to drink it with all kinds of dishes, but I must admit that with a good beef tenderloin cooked at low temperature accompanied with steamed vegetables, very simple but I love it.”
Note from Hervé: A grape of character for a woman of character 😉
“In principle, I’m not a fan of light wines, but the Plant Robert is for me a wine that would perfectly replace a Pinot Noir… when we feel like a change… it goes with everything. Very few people actually know about it so it’s a good talking point around the table!”
Hervé’s favourite grape varieties
“What I like about Pinot Noir is that it is totally different depending on the terroir on which it is grown and by whom it is made. It’s a wine that I like to rediscover, I feel as though I know all about it, but every time I taste it, it pleasantly surprises me. It can be drunk as an aperitif or with a nice piece of meat. But … don’t tell anyone …, I love drinking it with a two-cheese fondue!”
“This is a variety that I just recently discovered. It is a true wine of terroir; it is all in finesse and elegance. Young, it is a thirst-quenching wine. With a few years in the cellar, it’s magnificent with cheese.”
