Welcome to the winery Escalier de la Dame

Discover the history of Escalier de la Dame

La Cave Escalier de la Dame was created in 1984 in Branson/Fully. It takes its name from the rock and the vineyards as well as a meeting place between two villages perched on the hillsides. This family business was founded with the aim of discovering and growing traditional local grape varieties in order to share their richness and diversity. Since its creation, Yves Granges has been producing an extraordinary range of specialities from 19 grapes.

The estate’s vineyards are located mainly on the right-hand slopes of the Rhône, and spread over the sunny hillsides of Leytron, Saillon and Fully. For late harvest varieties, there are a few vineyards planted in Riddes and Saxon. Yves Granges enjoys encouraging visitors to inhale the perfumes and aromas of his precious beverages, which always offer something new for connoisseurs to discover.

The vinification of all these grapes brings the winemaker very obvious satisfaction and joy every year. He sings the praises of nature which always surprises by bringing beautiful ripe fruit every autumn, each with their own very different expression.
