Laurent, Floriane Munier and their son François bought the estate in 2014. Being from the region, they have a particular attachment to Mont-sur-Rolle and are familiar with the other winemakers in the village.
The Munier family has a philosophy of life close to nature, which you can understand by visiting them. The estate is a place of welcome and terroir. The terrace allows moments of relaxation and exchanges with a magnificent view.
The estate, at one with nature
The Domaine de Bellevue is surrounded by 6.5 hectares of vineyards. 10 different grape varieties are cultivated, including a disease-resistant variety, the Divico, on 5,000m2. In their quest to be at one with nature, the Munier family has not used herbicides since 2016 and wants to convert to organic.
The wines, 13 single grape varieties and a cryogenised wine
The estate of Bellevue only has single grape varieties, no assemblages. Do not miss the chance to taste the sweet red, a wine obtained by cryogenisation of Pinot Noir. It is served very fresh, and Floriane recommends it with a warm chocolate sponge cake!
Other food-wine pairings:
- Mara with dandelion salad with eggs, bacon lardons, walnuts.
- Chasselas with Vaud bricelets wafers and bacon bread.
- The sparkling Bellevue on the stroke of midnight.
Grapes are not only used for wine, but also for making jellies, jams, grape juice and Raisinée.
Spend the night at Domaine de Bellevue in your motorhome
Domaine de Bellevue offers the opportunity to park and stay the night in your motorhome. The family likes to meet travellers; it is an interesting way to meet new people and promote the region.
No motorhome? You can stay in Verveine et Romarin, a guest house, which is 100 metres from the estate. Ideal to go for a drink on foot 😉
Wine tourism in the region
Stay in the magnificent setting of the estate by taking a walk to the place called Farboilles. An incredible view awaits you. Returning to the estate, have a good time with a bottle of Bellevue under the terrace’s maple tree.
Why not take a stroll in the vineyards and hamlets, follow the marked Grape Varieties trail. Leave from Mont-sur-Rolle square in front of the cellar of the wine-growers.
Events and visit to Domaine de Bellevue
The estate provides venues for your events of up to 50 people. In addition to a cold room and basic catering equipment, the estate has a pizza oven and rotisserie.
You can visit the estate during the Grande Fête de la Raisinée in autumn and during the Vaud Open Cellar Days.
